Mayburg Salzburg
A HOTEL as HOMMAGE to Josef MAYURGER
The Mayburg is located near the Mayburger Kai and stands for a modern culture of hospitality off the main tourist paths. A welcoming place, a temporary home, filled with the beautiful spirit of Josef Mayburger, where like-minded people can find each other and be together. Josef Mayburger (1814-1908) was a painter, visionary, nature lover, teacher and politician. Salzburg owes much to him. He was strongly committed to preserving the beauty of the city of Mozart. In the development we have been inspired by his work.
The Mayburg Salzburg is a tribute to his life’s work and the beauty of things. This can be seen in playfully modern details such as the butterfly collections (Mayburger curated the butterfly collection of the then archbishop) and landscape paintings by Mayburger that can be found in the hotel. The color scheme between earthy and rich blue-green tones is typical of his works and gives the hotel a high recognition value.
The Mayburg Salzburg was developed together with partners IFA Institut für Anlageberatung and Four Peaks Hospitality.
