Only 150 meters away from the famous St. Mark’s Square in the center of Venice, SORAVIA, together with denkmalneu and the hotel fund of ECE Real Estate Partners, has acquired an important hotel complex. The “Bonvecchiati” building ensemble on the main pedestrian axis to the Rialto Bridge has 191 rooms and, with an area of 10,000 square meters, is one of the largest hotel buildings in Venice.

The historic residence offers various wellness facilities, a bar and a restaurant with a large terrace. The hotel’s own canal is bridged and, in keeping with the surroundings, has two moorings of its own.

Following the purchase, extensive conversion and renovation measures are planned at the site – over the next two years, the site is to be made more modern and attractive. The renovated hotel is intended to appeal primarily to international premium guests with an affinity for sophisticated design.
